For many years we have offered a proprietary method of proportional stringing which has been popular in a variety of contexts, especially with those suffering from elbow pain. Our process was based on research conducted in the late 1990's Research into string performance and installation has advanced over the years today more modern science exists that takes our original method and elevates it. Toward that end, we are proud to offer Sergetti stringing for our customers.
Sergetti takes the science of racquet stringing to a new level. They take factors into account to truly personalize a custom stringbed for each customer. They look at over 50 factors including full racquet specs/string specs, preferred tensions, friction between strings and the list goes on. The results produce a sweet zone that covers approximately 70% of the stringbed vs 12% using conventional methods. This results in added stability and power (even on off-center hits), pinpoint precision, increased string life and most importantly reduced shock at impact. Shock is the enemy of those suffering from equipment related arm discomfort.
From the perspective of your stringer, we will be installing each string at a specified individual tension to achieve these results. It takes longer to install, but at Guts and Glory Tennis we do not charge extra for this service. Our concern is offering you the best possible string bed for your game and quite candidly our process already takes longer than other stringers because we find slower stringing tends to offer performance benefits.
We strongly suggest you allow us to order the customized report for you from Sergetti. We know your strings and tensions and we will be sure to take care of all the technical aspects of the order for you. Ordering yourself will result in a cost of $17.00+ When we order for you, we get a small commission and will share a portion of it with you by charging less than $17.00. We will give the print out to you and you are welcome to use it with any other stringer you may want to use in the future.
NOTE: If you alter string type, change racquet or wish to alter tension, a NEW report will need to be purchased through Sergetti.
